Project ALERT
Project Scope
I was tasked by the Rand Corporation’s Non-Profit “Project ALERT” to visually revamp course materials for the sophisticated palates (and shortened attention span) of today’s Middle Schoolers. Developed over a ten-year period, Project ALERT addresses the pro-drug mindset of today’s teens in a data-driven curriculum, and effectively increases their likelihood to remain drug-free… It started with a logo re-design…
In addition to my typical creative roles, I got to wear my writer/producer hats, creating scripts thru final production for a library of videos based on course curriculum, including: Spokesperson Intro/Outros,
BTS Interview segments of teen peer’s experiences and perceptions (of course there had to be t-shirts!!!),
and even crafted a short film encompassing 4 separate vignettes (with multiple problem/solutions scenarios) to serve dual purpose, as an in-class teaching tool, and marketing tool to get teachers and students excited to adapt the lesson plan…
I finished the project off in my editor’s hat, delivering 9 lesson-specific assets, as well as an educational short film, all shot simultaneously over a 3-day video shoot… Got my stank all over this one!
